Here we carried out magnetometry (greyscale) and resistivity (colour) on
the school playing field using a grid of 30m x 30m squares. It found some
probable ditches and also possible building rubble spreads - probably modern
from when the school was built. The resistivity confirmed one of the ditches
and gave some additional information. The school pupils then had a small
shallow dig on the southern edge of the ditch and found a piece of Roman
pottery.
