ABINGDON ARCHAEOLOGICAL GEOPHYSICS

CUMNOR,  OXFORDSHIRE

Here we surveyed a site where Roman pottery and tile had been found during fieldwalking by the Oxford University Archaeological Society.

As is usual with magnetometry we located ditches and possible kilns or similar but the areas of possible buildings did not stand out. They are probably under the speckled areas labled 'rubble spreads' on the plan.
