WARMINSTER, WILTSHIRE We carried out both magnetometry and resistivity to try to locate buildings which were demolished when the land was purchased by a railway company in the 19th century. The resistivity results were not as straightforward as one would have hoped as it appears that the buildings were demolished and piles of rubble left on site which give high readings. The floors and yard surfaces appear to have been left in situ which has caused any moisture in the soil to pool over them giving low resistance readings. Red=high resistance. Blue=low resistance.
