Fieldwalking had found a large patch of Roman tile in this field.

A relatively small magnetometry survey, 4 grids each 30 by 30 metres, located a large kiln structure with 2 main areas of burning - presumably inside the kiln and the stokehole.

To its north the speckled appearance of the survey is the pieces of waste tile which were detected.
